Megan Barrett is a University of Central Florida student majoring in Technical Communication. She plans to graduate Fall 2011. She was very excited to work on this project and feels it will help her in the future workplace.

Brooke Braddy is in her junior year at the University of Central Florida. She plans to graduate Summer 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in English - Technical Communication with a Minor of Studio Art. She hopes to become both an illustrator and editor for a major publishing company.

Justin Buchanan is an English - Technical Communications major at the University of Central Florida. He hopes to become a fantasy novelist, and hopes that his college track will allow him to lead an independent life while pursuing this goal.

Jennifer Carbon holds a bachelor’s degree in Advertising from the University of Florida and is pursuing a second degree in English - Technical Communication from the University of Central Florida.

Joe Caruso is a University of Central Florida student majoring in Information Technology. His writing style has a more technical basis and less of a traditional English style. He has a strong passion for technology and computer systems.

Andrew Colombino is a senior at the University of Central Florida. He is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology with minors in Secure Computing and Italian Studies. Computers and languages are two of his passions. In his free time, he enjoys contributing to online communities that assist students learning English and other languages.

Alex Goldman is a student at University of Central Florida pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. He has a strong passion for computers and technology. Alex also currently works for Apple Inc.

Justin Harwood already holds a Bachelors of Science in Political Science from the University of Central Florida, and is currently studying for bachelor’s degree in English— - Technical Communications. He hopes eventually to work for or closely with government agencies.

Adam Lewandowski is a University of Central Florida student that is seeking a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. Adam has a strong passion for computers and hopes to graduate in Fall 2011 and be hired full-time by NASA, working in IT Security.

Michelle Llamas is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Technical Communication. She has held positions as a freelance writer and product representative for national trade magazines in print and online. Michelle is also a published writer. She is a member of Tau Sigma National Honor Society, Future Technical Communicators, and The Society for Technical Communication.

Katelyn Marquart is a senior at the University of Central Florida. She will be graduating Summer 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in English - Technical Communication. Katelyn is currently an event planner at a local student housing complex and wishes to incorporate her writing skills into her current job.

Lori Pereira is experienced in corporate communication as well as human resource recruiting and administration. Lori holds a certification in Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and has completed an Essentials of Human Resource Management Certificate. She is a senior at the University of Central Florida and will be graduating in Spring 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in English - Technical Communication.

Jade Rahim is a junior at the University of Central Florida, pursuing bachelor’s degrees in English - Technical Communication and Communicative Disorders. She hopes to become a speech pathologist and to write children's books.

Jennifer Shepard is studying for her bachelor’s degree in English - Technical Communication with a certificate in Judaic Studies. She was a journalist for a local newspaper in Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Mary Shrum is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Technical Communication and a minor in Information Technology. She excels at recognizing good aesthetics in documentation and revising writing to be clearer and more concise. While she aims to be an editor in the future, she also enjoys working creatively and designing graphics.

David Smith is a student at the University of Central Florida seeking his bachelor’s degree in English - Technical Communication with a minor in Cinema Studies. David hopes to one day be involved in the movie industry.

Portia Springer is currently in her senior year at the University of Central Florida. She plans to graduate in the Spring 2011 with a Bachelors of Arts in English Literature with a minor in English - Technical Communication. She hopes to become an editor for a publishing company.

Robert Tipton is a senior at the University of Central Florida, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. He plans to graduate after the fall 2011 semester. Robert enjoys sports and working with technology.

Megan Tripp is a University of Central Florida student working towards a bachelor’s degree in English - Creative Writing and a minor in English -Technical Communication. She is a member of Future Technical Communicators, and The Society for Technical Communication. Her goal is to create clear, error-free, accessible text and maintain good working relationships with authors. Megan’s first such project as an editor was this book.

Christopher Tubaj is a University of Central Florida student currently seeking a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. While not a writing major per se, he has acquired considerable writing experience, both personal and professional. Christopher’s writing style relies on a mix of creative techniques and expressive diction to effectively communicate his message.
