This handbook, now available as a wiki, is a concise, easy-access guide for many of the basic elements of technical communication. Meant for students and recent graduates of the discipline, it provides an overview of the fundamentals that are of most importance in today’s technical professional environments.
This handbook was created over the course of one semester by a class of interdisciplinary college students majoring in English and Information Technology. We are proud of the diversity of the content we were able to include because of the different areas of expertise of our writers. Our topics range from elements of writing style to tools for Internet collaboration and much more. We have designed this handbook as a simple, useful guide to some of the most pertinent issues on the minds of college students and graduates entering technical communication careers.
We hope you will find the online version of our handbook useful and easy to navigate.
